What to Do if You Think Someone has Overdosed
If you think someone has overdosed
- Try waking them by shaking them and rubbing your knuckles on their chest.

- Administer naloxone. See information about naloxone here
- Begin rescue breathing.
a. Tilt head back, lift chin, pinch nose.
b. Give 2 quick breaths. Their chest should rise.
c. Give 1 slow breath every 5 seconds. Continue until they start breathing or help arrives.
d. Stay with this person until medical help arrives. If this is not possible place them in the recovery position (laying on their side) somewhere they can be found.
